The Golf GTD is an impressive 'all rounder' - it's quick and great fun to drive, it is surprisingly economical with an average (combined) published fuel economy of 67.3 miles per gallon, rising to a very impressive 76.3 miles miles per gallon 'extra urban'. Add to that it has five doors and can comfortably seat four adults with boot space - then the best part (as far as the writer is concerned) - £20 a year road tax!
This one has the iconic golf ball gear stick, chequered two tone race style seats. Inside you get adaptive cruise control, keyless entry/exit, push button start, sat nav, Bluetooth, etc, etc.
As we didn't get the history with this one we have replaced two tyres, front brake discs and pads, had the adaptive cruise control calibrated and given the car a full service. It also comes with two keys and a new MOT with no advisories - to 21st June next year.
